My name is Corie Hinton and I'm a muralist based in Portland, Oregon. My mission is to bring: positivity, beauty, inspiration, learning and understanding to environments, through painting murals. I listen carefully to your ideas so that together we realize your vision for your home or business. Out of concern for the environment, my own health, and that of my clients, all murals are painted with water-based acrylic paints.
CAN A MURAL BE PAINTED ON ANY SURFACE?
Yes! Murals can be painted on interior or exterior surfaces like: concrete, wood, wood siding, finished painted drywall, or canvas.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PAINT A MURAL?
Painting a mural can take from anywhere from several hours to several weeks depending on size and detail.
HOW MUCH DOES A MURAL COST?
Because the amount of time to complete a mural can be difficult to estimate, I price most mural projects by the square foot.
A custom hand painted mural is $10-$25 per square foot of the surface to be painted. The price within that range depends on the amount of detail and complexity of your project. During our initial consultation, I will consider these factors, and let you know the price per square foot for your project.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Consultation: To get started, I will come visit your mural site. We will discuss your ideas for the space and brainstorm together.
I will give you a price estimate, free of charge or obligation.
Sketch: Next, I will create a full color digital sketch of the proposed mural based on our discussion. I will digitally place the sketch directly over a picture of your wall so that you can visualize your mural in your space! We may go through one round of changes on sketches before any extra cost is added.
Mural Production Begins! Now, your mural comes to life! Your final quoted price includes travel within the Portland metro area, and all materials to complete the work, including a clear protective finish to protect your artwork if you wish. If you live outside of Portland, get in touch to make special arrangements - I am usually down to travel!
